Finance and Infrastructure Development committees to meet today



KATHMANDU: Two key committees under the Federal Parliament, the Finance Committee and the Infrastructure Development Committee, are scheduled to meet today at Singha Durbar.

The Finance Committee will convene at 11 am in the committee meeting room to discuss the proposed amendments to the customs law. The agenda includes deliberations with amending members on the bill aimed at amending and unifying the existing customs legislation.

Simultaneously, the Infrastructure Development Committee will also meet at 11 am at Singha Durbar. The committee plans to conduct a clause-wise discussion on the Water Resources Bill, 2024.

Both meetings are expected to address significant legislative issues that could have far-reaching implications for the country’s economic and infrastructural development.
