KMC uses bulldozer to demolish illegal structures in Chyasal

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) deployed a bulldozer to demolish illegal structures in Chyasal on Wednesday.

City police carried out the demolition of two garages and a garbage collection center that had been built in front of the CPN-UML office.

According to KMC officials, the structures were removed as part of an ongoing campaign to clear encroachments and address public safety concerns.

The move follows complaints from locals in Ward-32, who had raised concerns about pollution and fire hazards caused by the illegal structures, particularly in proximity to a nearby school. City authorities stated that the structures posed a serious risk to public health and safety.

KMC has been ramping up efforts to take action against unauthorized constructions across the city in recent weeks.
