Maoist Centre resumes Tarai-Madhesh awareness campaign



NAWALPARASI: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has resumed its Tarai-Madhesh Awareness Campaign, focusing on areas along the Hulaki Highway.

As part of the initiative, various programs were organized today in several locations across West Nawalparasi.

According to Mohan Sapkota, district chair of YCL West Nawalparasi, participants began the day with a six-kilometre morning walk.

Party chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also joined the walk, which started from Bardghat-4 and concluded at the Shahid Smriti Community Hospital in Bardghat-14, where he laid a wreath at the statue of martyr Surya Bikram Thapa.

During the campaign, Chair Dahal met with martyr families and supporters, holding discussions on current issues. He also visited Trivenidham in Binayi Tribeni-6, where he engaged with local residents.

A mass gathering was held at the premises of Radhakrishna Secondary School in Palhinandan Rural Municipality-5, with additional events planned in the district headquarters Parasi and other nearby areas.

The campaign, which had restarted from Gaindakot in Nawalpur, is aimed at connecting with local people, understanding their issues, and working towards solutions, according to the Maoist Centre.
