Collective effort key to progress: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli has emphasized that positive thinking, behavior, and self-confidence are essential for achieving a shared national goal—creating a prosperous nation and ensuring the happiness of its people.

Extending his best wishes on the occasion of New Year 2082, Prime Minister Oli expressed hope that the New Year would bring happiness, peace, prosperity, progress, success, and renewed enthusiasm into the lives of all Nepalis, both at home and abroad.

He expressed confidence that, despite past challenges, the country would continue to advance toward a brighter future.

In his message, the Prime Minister stated, “The government alone cannot fulfill the shared aspirations of the nation. True progress can only be achieved through the collective efforts, dedication, and contributions of all Nepalis, wherever they may be.”

He highlighted Nepal’s ethnic, regional, cultural, and religious diversity as valuable national assets and stressed the importance of harnessing them as sources of strength rather than division.

Prime Minister Oli also noted that development in the country is no longer just a dream but a tangible reality.

The construction of physical infrastructure in rural areas, its positive impact on daily lives, and reforms in the social service sector, he said, are all results of the democratic system.

He further stated that the government is committed to empowering the youth through entrepreneurship, technology, education, and self-employment—recognizing their energy, creativity, and potential as vital to the nation’s future.

The Prime Minister urged citizens to not only acknowledge the progress made under the democratic system but to embrace it, celebrate it, and resolve to move the country forward in a positive direction.

He called for an end to pessimism and divisive tendencies, and instead encouraged unity, patriotism, and a shared commitment to national progress.
