“Elephants vital for environmental protection”

CHITWAN: Stakeholders have emphasized the importance of protecting elephants, highlighting their crucial role in environmental conservation.

Speaking at the Elephant Forest Feast program organized in Sauraha to mark the 14th International Elephant Day, participants stated that safeguarding the environment is not possible without elephant conservation.

Chief Conservation Officer of Chitwan National Park, Ganesh Pant, said, “Conservation is unimaginable without elephants. Forests and wildlife can only be protected if elephants are protected. As highly intelligent animals, their preservation is essential.”
