KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has said it will continue its protest until a high-level investigation commission is formed to probe the visit visa scandal, which the party claims is linked to serious cases of human trafficking.
Speaking to journalists at the federal parliament building in New Baneshwar on Friday, RSP leaders stressed that the issue demands deeper scrutiny and cannot be resolved through vague political agreements.
RSP lawmaker Dr. Swarnim Wagle criticized the recent two-point agreement between the Maoist Centre and ruling parties, saying it lacks a concrete commitment to form an independent investigative body. “No political party has demonstrated seriousness in addressing the visa scam,” he said, calling the agreement a “deferred settlement” with no basis for RSP to join.
Other RSP lawmakers reiterated that, even if alone, their party will not back down from pursuing justice in the visit visa case.
