KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has praised retiring Police Inspector General (IGP) Chandra Kuber Khapung for his intellectual acumen and professional competence, which significantly boosted morale within the police force despite his relatively short tenure.
Khapung, who is retiring on Wednesday after completing 30 years of mandatory service, received the minister’s best wishes for a fulfilling post-retirement life. Aryal highlighted that Khapung’s experience will continue to be valuable to the nation even after his retirement.
Acknowledging the challenging circumstances during the current government formation, Aryal highlighted the special yet brief relationship with the IGP. He said that the leadership, experience, and efficiency of the Home Ministry and police personnel are crucial for the success of the nation.
“Retirement does not mean detachment. The nation will continue to expect your contribution to national life,” the Home Minister added.
