Viral ‘Cabinet division’ document of Gen-Z denied by Miraj Dhungana as fake

KATHMANDU: A document allegedly showing an agreement among members of the Gen-Z group to divide “ministerial portfolios” after a meeting in Naxal on Sunday has gone viral on social media.

The paper, bearing the names and signatures of Miraj Dhungana and Raksha Bam, has created tension within the Gen-Z circle. As calls poured in regarding the issue, Dhungana publicly denied the authenticity of the document.

“That agreement letter is fake,” Dhungana told Khabarhub. “That’s not my signature. Whoever did this should be identified, and we will take action against them.”

He clarified that he has not signed any agreement of this kind. “I haven’t signed anywhere, and the signature shown there is not mine,” he added.

The viral document, allegedly issued after a meeting of the “Council of Ministers” formed under the Gen-Z committee in Naxal, mentions that members were assigned sectoral responsibilities based on submitted biodata and regional recommendations.

According to the document, the meeting was jointly chaired by committee chair Prakash Bohora and co-chair Abhishek Shrestha, and listed the following names as attendees: Abhishek Shrestha, Utkarsh Shrestha, Prashant Acharya, Prakash Bohora, Diwakar Dangal, Raksha Bam, Yujen Raj Bhandari, Miraj Dhungana, and Pravesh Dahal.

The document also mentions the following allocations:

Diwakar Dangal – Minister for Women and Children

Raksha Bam – State Minister for Women and Children

Purushottam Yadav – State Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation

Ojaswi Raj Thapa – State Minister for Forest and Environment

Jasmin Ojha – State Minister for Urban Development

Pravesh Dahal – State Minister for Labour and Employment

CP Shrestha – Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation

Miraj Dhungana – Minister for Home Affairs

The letter claims that the committee unanimously approved the recommendations proposed by Chair Abhishek Shrestha. It also states that the meeting concluded after discussion on Proposal No. 2, with the chair announcing the end of the session.

However, Miraj Dhungana, whose signature appears in the letter, has categorically stated that the document is fake.
