Foreign currency exchange rates fixed for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for major currencies for Saturday.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 150.88 and the selling rate at Rs 151.48. The buying rate for one European euro has been fixed at Rs 175.29 and the selling rate at Rs 175.99. Similarly, the buying rate for one UK pound sterling has been fixed at Rs 204.04 and the selling rate at Rs 204.85, while the Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 186.38 for buying and Rs 187.12 for selling.

The buying rate for one Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 108.63 and the selling rate at Rs 109.07. Likewise, the Canadian dollar has been fixed at Rs 109.31 for buying and Rs 109.74 for selling, while the Singapore dollar has been fixed at Rs 119.02 and Rs 119.50, respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.64 and the selling rate is Rs 9.68. The buying rate for one Chinese yuan is Rs 22.48 and the selling rate is Rs 22.57. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal has been fixed at Rs 40.18 for buying and Rs 40.34 for selling, while the Qatari riyal has been fixed at Rs 41.39 and Rs 41.56, respectively.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.58 and the selling rate is Rs 4.60. The UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.08 for buying and Rs 41.24 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at Rs 37.30 and Rs 37.45, respectively, while the South Korean won has been fixed at Rs 11.16 for buying and Rs 11.21 for selling.

Similarly, the buying rate for one Swedish krona is Rs 15.78 and the selling rate is Rs 15.85. The Danish krone has been fixed at Rs 23.45 for buying and Rs 23.54 for selling.

The buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.24 and the selling rate at Rs 19.32. The Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at Rs 491.47 for buying and Rs 493.42 for selling. Similarly, the Bahraini dinar has been fixed at Rs 400.19 and Rs 401.78, while the Omani rial has been fixed at Rs 391.89 and Rs 393.45, respectively.

The central bank has fixed the buying and selling rates for 100 Indian rupees at Rs 160 each. Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ from those fixed by the central bank. The latest exchange rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
