One dead after electric shock in Jhapa



JHAPA: A man died today after receiving an electric shock in Kankai Municipality-1 of Jhapa district.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, 66-year-old Tara Bahadur Bishwakarma was electrocuted while connecting an electric motor to pump water at his home this morning.

He was being rushed to Birtacity Hospital in Birtamode by family members but died on the way. Police said further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
