One dead, two injured in Babarmahal accident



KATHMANDU:  One person died and two others were injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred in Kathmandu on Saturday.

According to police, a motorcycle (Province 3-02-010P 6954) collided with a scooter (Province 2-03-018P 5834) at Babarmahal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–11.

The motorcycle rider, an approximately 30-year-old man, died while undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Center.

Superintendent of Police Apil Raj Bohora, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police, confirmed the death and said the identity of the deceased is yet to be established.

Two others—one from the motorcycle and one from the scooter—were also injured and are currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.
