Truck accident blocks Narayanghat-Muglin road

KATHMANDU: The Narayanghat-Muglin road section has been completely obstructed since Saturday morning after a truck overturned near Tuyinkhola in Ichhakamana Rural Municipality-5, Chitwan.

The truck, bearing registration number Madhes Province 03-001 Kha 9817, was transporting coal from Birgunj to Kathmandu when it skidded off the road and flipped, blocking the highway. The incident has led to a complete halt in vehicular movement along the busy route.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Khanal, spokesperson of the District Police Office in Chitwan, said that efforts are currently underway to remove the truck and restore traffic flow.

The accident site is located about two kilometers south of Muglin Bazaar. Due to the obstruction, hundreds of vehicles remain stranded, causing significant delays and inconvenience to commuters and transporters.
