Left-wing polarization is necessary for building decisive national power: Gen Secy Pokharel



DANG: CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said that left-wing polarization is necessary for building a decisive national power. He said that a strong decisive national power is needed to lead the nation towards stability and prosperity.

Leader Pokharel came with the view while addressing an interaction organized by the Nepal Intellectuals Council, Dang and Progressive Professors Association, Nepal Mahendra Multiple Campus here today.

General Secretary Pokharel said that UML has prioritized the issue of left-wing polarization and is working to build national power.

He said that UML is ready to polarize through its cadres, saying that it is necessary to take lessons from history and decide the journey for the future.

In another context, General Secretary Pokharel claimed that Nepal has established a new recognition through the ‘BRI Agreement’.

“The BRI agreement was drafted with the consent of Nepali Congress and UML.
For the first time in the history of Nepal, the agreement prepared by us has been signed”, he said, “This has proved that everything is possible when the major parties come together. This government, which includes the main party formed for the prosperity and stability of the country, is moving towards fulfilling certain objectives.”
