One killed in tipper accident in Boudha, driver arrested from Kavre



KATHMANDU: An elderly man died after being hit by a tipper in Ramhiti, Boudha, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6, late Saturday night.

The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when a tipper (Bagmati Province-01-006 Kha 5508) struck the 65-year-old man, who is yet to be identified, according to SP Deepak Giri, spokesperson for the Valley Traffic Police Office.

The driver fled the scene with the vehicle after the incident, according to police. Ajay Shrestha, 28, of Mandandeupur Municipality-6, Kavre, has been arrested in connection with the accident.

Police apprehended Shrestha in Mandandeupur and are bringing him to Kathmandu for further investigation.
