Nine injured in road accident in Makawanpur



MAKAWANPUR: Nine people were injured in a road accident that occurred on an internal road at Athare in Raksirang Rural Municipality-9. Among them, six are reported to be in critical condition.

The critically injured have been identified as Himal Basnet (16), Buddhiman Ghalan (35), Dil Bahadur Ghalan (75), his wife Phulmaya Ghalan (70), Rup Bahadur Raut (38), and Deepak Khadka (48), all residents of Raksirang-9.

Three others—Surya Adhikari (50), Kumar Tamang (14), and Sujan Tamang (28)—sustained minor injuries.

A police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Bharat Kumar Khadka responded to the scene and rescued the victims. All injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at Manahari Hospital.

The accident took place earlier this morning when a passenger vehicle (Ba 15 Cha 1333), traveling from Khairang to Manahari, veered off the road.
