Beduram Bhusal claims corruption case against Madhav Nepal politically biased

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Beduram Bhusal, has alleged that the corruption case filed against party chairman and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is based on political prejudice.

Speaking to journalists at the party office in Aloknagar on Thursday, Bhusal asserted that the case was filed not out of legal necessity, but from a politically motivated agenda aimed at attacking Nepal’s political standing.

“This is a continuation of political attacks against Madhav Nepal,” Bhusal said, “and we will respond politically to this biased action.”

He further added that since the case has now reached court, the party will also engage in a legal battle to defend its leader.

While he stopped short of naming individuals, Bhusal implied that it is clear who is behind the political prejudice leading to the case.
