Hearing concludes on writ petitions of Kulman Ghising and Hitendra Shakya, verdict awaited

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has completed hearings on the writ petitions filed by newly appointed Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Managing Director Hitendra Dev Shakya and dismissed former chief Kulman Ghising. The court’s verdict is yet to be issued.

A bench of Justices Dr. Kumar Chudal and Nityananda Pandey concluded the hearing on Thursday after three consecutive days of proceedings.

Ghising had filed a petition challenging his removal as NEA Managing Director, calling it unlawful and seeking reinstatement.

Meanwhile, Shakya had submitted a plea requesting the court to settle his previous legal dispute.

Since both petitions were reviewed together, a single order will be issued covering both cases.
