Ordinances introduced to resolve country’s existing problems: DPM Poudel

LUMBINI: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has stated that the government is focusing on protecting the constitution, ensuring its effective implementation, promoting development, fostering good governance, and finding permanent solutions to the country’s various problems.

DPM Poudel explained that the government recently introduced ordinances to address the country’s existing challenges, and their positive outcomes would be seen gradually.

He urged media personnel to thoroughly study the ordinances’ contents and disseminate accurate information to the public.

“The current government was formed in a difficult situation. We are steering the country toward a positive direction. The alliance between CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress will last until 2084,” said DPM Poudel.

He also addressed rumors about the Social Networking Sites Regulation Ordinance, which some claimed was against press freedom and freedom of expression.

Poudel clarified that the government is committed to supporting press freedom and freedom of expression.

“Everyone must take responsibility for their actions. Those who do good work should be rewarded, and those who commit crimes should be punished,” he added.
