11 individuals arrested for involvement in criminal activities

KATHMANDU: Eleven people have been arrested from various parts of the country on charges of involvement in different criminal activities.

The Central Police Newsroom said they were arrested from Rautahat, Bardiya, Chitwan, and Sarlahi.

According to police, 31-year-old Sagar Shrestha and four others were held from Bardiya Badaiyatala Rural Municipality-2, as they were found carrying a substance resembling brown heroin.

An 18-year-old youth carrying 450 grams of hashish was arrested from Gumba Chowk of Kalika Municipality-6 in Chitwan, while 27-year-old Sameer Pariyar from the same place was also held.

Similarly, four people have been arrested from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-4 along Lankulakshmi Path with approximately 50 grams of cannabis, and other banned drugs and cash amounting to Rs 95,700.

Meanwhile, a 27-year-old Mukesh Kumar Soni from Rajwada-9, Sitamadii, India has been arrested with one fake note of five hundred denomination and twenty-nine fake notes of one hundred denomination from Suknaha Bazaar, ward no. 15, Ishwarpur Municipality, Sarlahi.
