One killed in road accident in Gulmi

GULMI: One person has died in a road accident that took place this morning when a tractor lost control and fell about 50-60 meters off the road in Gulmi.

The tractor was heading towards Bisauna from Arbeni in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-2.

The deceased has been identified as Dev Bahadur BK, 55, of Arbeni, Kaligandaki, who was working as an assistant to the driver of the tractor with registration number Lu. 3 Ta. 5112, according to the District Police Office.

BK succumbed to his injuries at the Galyang Municipal Hospital, Syangja, said Superintendent of Police Rajan Bhujel of the District Police Office.

Meanwhile, the driver absconded following the accident and a search is underway for him, police said.
