NC President Deuba urges migrant Nepalis to invest skills and capital for nation’s prosperity

LALITPUR: Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has called on migrant Nepalis to contribute to the nation’s economic prosperity by utilizing the skills gained abroad and investing their capital back home.

Speaking at an interaction on “Nepali Diasporas: Government’s Responsibility and Role of People’s Liaison Committees” organized by the NC’s Overseas Nepali People’s Liaison Committee Coordination Department at the party headquarters in Sanepa, President Deuba said that the Nepali Congress is committed to creating an inclusive environment across all provincial bodies to meet the aspirations of the diaspora and involve capable individuals.

“Those living abroad are deeply concerned about the country’s well-being. We are working to include them in the party’s General Convention and Maha Samiti. We will also seek to ensure their representation in the Central Committee, even if it requires amending the party’s statute,” he stated.

Deuba emphasized that strong cooperation and support from the Nepali diaspora are essential for strengthening the democratic republic in Nepal.
