PM Oli briefs President Paudel on upcoming China visit

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli met with President Ram Chandra Paudel at the presidential residence, Sheetal Niwas, this evening.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Oli informed President Paudel about his upcoming visit to China.

According to the President’s press advisor, Kiran Pokharel, President Paudel extended his best wishes for the visit’s success.

Preparations over for by-election, EC says

The Election Commission (EC) has said that the preparations for the by-election scheduled for Sunday were over.

The EC has said that the voting will take place from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and has urged the voters of the concerned wards to cast votes with confidence by visiting the voting centres.

The EC has also made it clear that the voters can cast votes by appearing at the voting centres with any one of the voter’s identity card, citizenship, national identity card, passport, PAN card or driving license.

NPL: Janakpur Bolts wins Biratnagar by eight wickets

Janakpur Bolts secured a victory over Biratnagar Kings in the opening match of the Nepal Premier League today.

Chasing a target of 127 runs set by Biratnagar Kings, Janakpur scored 131 runs in 15 overs, losing just 2 wickets to claim the win.

Janakpur Bolts began their NPL campaign with an impressive 8-wicket win over Biratnagar Kings in the tournament’s opening match.

Seven injured in crowd crush during NPL opening match in Kirtipur

Seven individuals were injured in a crowd crush while heading to the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) opening match.

The match was held between Biratnagar Kings and Janakpur Bolts.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Nabaraj Adhikari, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police, the injured include Jayen Shrestha, 25, of Siddharthanagar, Rupandehi, currently residing in Baneshwor; Police Constable Ajay Tamang from Dhading, stationed at the Federal Parliament Security Base in Baneshwor; and Police Officer Dan Bahadur Raut from Jumla, also serving at the same base.

Local level by-election: EC says all preparations are in place

The Election Commission said all preparations for the local-level by-election have been completed.

The by-election is taking place tomorrow (December 1) to fill 41 vacant posts at the local levels across the country.

The voting starts at 7 am and runs till 5 pm in the polling centres set up at the concerned local levels.

New political forces a result of our weaknesses: Prachanda

Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, Chairman of the Maoist Center and former Prime Minister, has stated that “we should accept the new faces and political parties that have emerged following the people’s mandate.”

In a social media post on Saturday, Prachanda emphasized that these new forces and leaders have come forward due to the weaknesses of the old parties, and “we should accept them as part of the democratic evolution.”

He said, “I have been referring to the new faces, who have come with the people’s vote, as beautiful flowers blooming in the garden of democracy.”

Madhav Nepal advises PM Oli to move forward with BRI

Prime Minister KP Oli has often faced criticism for his habitual tardiness to meetings.

This was the case again on November 25, when he invited former Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers to discuss his upcoming visit to China.

However, when PM Oli failed to show up at the scheduled time, Madhav Nepal, who was attending the meeting, was about to leave.
