Two-way traffic resumes along Prithvi Highway

DAMAULI: Two-way traffic has resumed along the Prithvi Highway following the clearance of landslide debris earlier today.

The Bimalnagar-Aanbukhaireni section has been opened for two-way traffic after large boulders that had fallen on the road in Bimalnagar, Bandipur Rural Municipality-4 of Tanahun, were removed.

This section had been operating as one-way traffic since Sunday afternoon due to landslides triggered by incessant rain.

Vehicles were temporarily banned this morning to facilitate the removal of the boulders.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Rai from the District Police Office in Tanahu confirmed that all road sections in the district are now operational.
