KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling coalition is currently underway at the official residence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in Baluwatar.

The session, initiated at the behest of Prime Minister Dahal, is primarily focused on assessing the outcomes of the National Assembly election.

In the aftermath of the defeat of the shared candidate, Champa Karki of the CPN-Maoist Center, in the Koshi Province, leaders within the ruling coalition are expected to delve into a comprehensive evaluation.

Representatives from Prime Minister Dahal’s Maoist Center have raised concerns, alleging a ‘betrayal’ by Nepali Congress voters who did not adhere to the coalition’s voting agreement. This has intensified the call for a thorough review within the ruling coalition.
