PM CUP Cricket: Gandaki sets 171-run target for Police Club in Amrit’s half-century



KATHMANDU: In a fast-paced performance by all-rounder Amrit Gurung’s half-century, Gandaki province set a moderate target of 171 runs for Nepal Police Club in the Prime Minister Cup One-Day National Cricket Tournament.

Having lost the toss and batting first at the Mulpani Cricket Ground, Gandaki scored 170 runs in 38.3 overs.

Amrit Gurung of Gandaki scored the highest with 50 runs, including 8 fours and 2 sixes, in 39 balls. Other batsmen failed to make significant contributions.

Kamal Pariyar scored 30 runs with 3 fours and 2 sixes in 26 balls, Samir Kandel made 29, and Karan Pageni contributed 30 runs.

Police Club’s swift bowler Rashid Khan took 5 wickets, conceding 25 runs in 6 overs. Lalit Rajwanshi and Karan KC each took 2 wickets. Dipendra Singh Airee took 1 wicket.
