Prachanda claims good governance will begin with a strong Maoist party

KANCHANPUR: Chair of the CPN Maoist Centre, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, asserted that a strong and leading Maoist party would mark the beginning of a new era of good governance in Nepal.

Addressing a party unity and anti-corruption rally in Punarbas, Kanchanpur, Prachanda emphasized the need to strengthen his party to combat corruption effectively.

He highlighted various corruption scandals, including those related to fake Bhutanese refugees, the purchase of wide-body aircraft, and land deals like Giri Bandhu and Yeti Omni, pledging strict action against culprits.

Prachanda stated, “We must become the number one party to end corruption in this country. The current government is riddled with corruption, but those responsible will not go unpunished. Once the Maoist Centre gains strength, a new era of good governance will begin, and we will chase out the corrupt elements.”

He also reflected on his government’s initiatives for good governance, social justice, and prosperity, adding that even illegal moneylenders exploiting people have been fearful of their administration’s actions.

Prachanda reiterated his commitment to ensuring justice and accountability in the future.
