First National Bamboo Conference-2081 to be held in February next year



KHOTANG: Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality has decided to organize the ‘First National Bamboo Conference-2081’ in February, 2025.

The province-level program has been planned to make the first National Bamboo Conference to be held at Matikore Playground in Diktel Bazar from February 27 to March 1 next year effective.

The conference will be focused on exploring the utility, feasibility, effectiveness and marketing of bamboo.

According to Mayor Tirtha Raj Bhattarai, preparations have been made to hold province-level programs in Koshi Province on December 29, Madhes Province on December 30, Bagmati Province on December 31 and Gandaki Province on January 1.

“For the first time in the history of Nepal, a national bamboo conference is going to be held at Diktel Bazar. Bamboo experts and businessmen from all over the country and abroad are participating in the conference,” he said.

“Preparations have been made to run the program with the use of Zoom technology in the excluded provinces”, Bhattarai shared.

Under the province-level program to be chaired by Mayor Bhattarai, Sahara Nepal will look after the management and coordination of the program in the Koshi province.

Likewise, Division Forest Office will see the management in the Madhes province, Dhanushadham.

Similarly, the Ministry of Finance will manage and coordinate the program in the Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
