PHOTOS: Secondary Education Examination commences



KATHMANDU: The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) kicked off on Thursday, marking a significant milestone for over half a million students across Nepal.

Nandalal Poudel, the SEE Exam Controller at the Board, disclosed that a staggering 504,414 students from 10,806 schools are participating in this crucial examination, slated to continue until April 9.

Of the candidates, 250,772 are female, 253,627 are male, with an additional 15 identifying as sexual and gender minorities, reflecting the diverse participation in this nationwide assessment.

A network of 2,064 exam centers has been established, with Kathmandu hosting the highest count at 127 centers, while Manang and Mustang districts each accommodate one center, marking the lowest count.

In a notable development, an exam center has been arranged in Japan, anticipating 23 students to undertake the examination, thereby underscoring the international reach of the SEE.

To ensure the seamless conduct of the examination, the Board has mobilized a substantial workforce of 77,485 individuals, signifying the collective effort invested in this educational endeavor.
