Former Prez Bhandari condoles demise of former Indian PM Singh



KATHMANDU: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has expressed grief over the demise of former Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh.

“I am very saddened by the news of passing away of former Prime Minister of India, Dr Singh,” the former President said in her message of condolence.

In her condolence message, former President Bhandari recalled the dialogue she had held with Dr Singh on the issue of mutual welfare of Nepal and India.

“Nepal has lost a true friend on the demise of Dr Singh, the renowned economist and graceful personality. I pay heartfelt tribute to Dr Singh and extend condolences to the bereaved family members,” she mentioned.

Former Indian PM Dr Singh passed away on Thursday night at the age of 92.
