KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place today at 11:00 am.
The agenda for the day promises significant discussions and proposals.
The primary item on the agenda includes the Speaker reading out a letter from the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, highlighting important assignments and matters to be addressed.
Additionally, the session will witness the tabulation of a bill related to the ‘Legislative Bill, 2080,’ originating in the National Assembly.
This is in response to messages received from the National Assembly.
A key focus of the meeting will be the presentation by Health and Population Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet.
He is slated to propose the consideration of the ‘Electronic Trade Bill, 2080’, emphasizing its significance in the current legislative context.
Furthermore, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is slated to table a proposal for the discussion of the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the financial year 2081-82 (excluding the tax proposal).
This step is expected to shape the fiscal landscape for the upcoming year.
