Court remands Former DIG Chhabi Lal Joshi in custody for 5 days

POKHARA: Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Chhabi Lal Joshi, arrested in connection with the misappropriation of Surya Darshan Cooperative’s savings, has been remanded in custody for five days by the court for investigation.

The bench of Judge Chandra Kanta Paudel District Court of Kathmandu has remanded Joshi in custody for five days for further investigation.

Joshi was arrested in Kathmandu on Sunday and flown to Pokhara at night. Based on information that Joshi was preparing to flee abroad, he was arrested from Kathmandu after an urgent arrest warrant was issued against him. He is one of the former directors of Gorkha Media.
