U.S. Embassy organizing Hip-Hop fair in Kathmandu tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu is organizing a Hip-Hop fair at the Hotel Annapurna, Durbar Marg, Kathmandu on Saturday.

The program features an amazing lineup of collaboration with four American artists from Words Beats & Lifeand talented Nepali artists.

The Embassy, in a statement, has called people from all walks of life to join them to celebrate hip-hop culture and its historic role to understand the culture a powerful medium for social change and freedom of expression.

Here comes the amazing lineup of the four American artists from Words Beats & Life and talented Nepali artists who will be collaborating at the Hip-Hop मेला in Kathmandu.

The fair, starting from 12 pm will end at 6 pm, provides a unique opportunity for Nepali artists to share their work with the public and for communities to come together to celebrate and appreciate the art form, showcasing the skills and growth of the participants in front of a live audience through Dance, Music performances, Spoken words and Exhibition Battles.

Live graffiti art and visual arts exhibition will be one of the highlights of the event, the statement said.

According to the statement, the audiences will also get a unique chance to see some of the best Hip Hop Artists and musicians from Nepal and the United States of America.

The event — a part of the The Arts Envoy HipHop Program 2024 which is being held from February 16-26, 2024 — aims to bring street art to emerging street artists from different genres to display their creations to a wider audience.
