Karnali secures six-wicket win over Koshi in PM Cup showdown

KATHMANDU: In a dominating performance, Karnali Province emerged victorious, defeating Koshi Province by six wickets in a riveting match of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024 on Tuesday.

Having won the toss, Karnali Province elected to bowl first, successfully limiting Koshi Province to a total of 151 runs in 34.3 overs, with all wickets claimed.

Dipesh Adhikari showcased exceptional bowling skills, securing four wickets, while Prakash Jaishi and Diwan Pun contributed three and two wickets, respectively.

In pursuit of the target, Arjun Gharti of Karnali Province played a pivotal role, scoring an impressive 50 runs.

Bipin Shahi and Himanshu Shahi also made significant contributions with 28 and 24 runs, respectively, steering the team to a convincing victory.

For Koshi Province, Sujan Thapaliya emerged as the top scorer, amassing 73 runs, while Sujan Ghimire and Aish Bhattarai contributed 11 and 12 runs, respectively.
