PM Cup: Bagmati Province sets 199-run target for Gandaki

KATHMANDU: In a gripping match of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024, Bagmati Province has established a target of 199 runs for Gandaki Province.

The showdown unfolded at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground, with Bagmati winning the toss and opting to bat first.

Ashutosh Ghiraiya and Ishan Pandey emerged as pivotal contributors for Bagmati Province, showcasing their skills with scores of 44 and 43 runs, respectively.

Despite their efforts, Karnali Province managed to contain Bagmati to a total of 198 runs in 49.1 overs.

Kamal Pariyar played a crucial role for Karnali Province, securing four wickets, while Bipin Khatri contributed with two wickets for the team.

Bagmati Province currently holds the second position in the scoreboard with eight points, while Gandaki Province is positioned at eighth place with two points.
