PM Cup Update: Koshi Province sets 152-run target for Karnali 



KATHMANDU: In an intense face-off at the Mulpani cricket ground, Koshi Province has set a target of 152 runs for Karnali Province in a pivotal match of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024.

Having won the toss, Karnali Province elected to bowl first, successfully limiting Koshi Province to a total of 151 runs in 34.3 overs, with all wickets claimed.

Sujan Thapaliya emerged as the top scorer for Koshi Province, contributing 73 runs, supported by Sujan Ghimire and Aish Bhattarai with 11 and 12 runs, respectively.

In response to the challenging target, Karnali Province will be looking to make their mark in the match.

Notably, Dipesh Adhikari showcased an outstanding bowling performance, securing four crucial wickets for Karnali Province. Prakash Jaishi and Diwan Pun also made valuable contributions, taking three and two wickets, respectively.

As the tournament progresses, Karnali Province currently holds the seventh position in the points table with four points, while Koshi Province remains at the bottom, yet to secure any points in the competition.
