PM Dahal pledges citizen-friendly budget, shifts from conventional approach

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has announced a departure from conventional practices in formulating policies, programs, and the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Speaking to the media at Dhangadhi Airport today, the Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to developing progressive, objective, and citizen-centric programs, policies, and budgets.

During a transit at Dhangadhi Airport en route to Kanchanpur, he outlined the government’s approach.

He clarified that the current government coalition should not be viewed solely through a leftist power lens but rather as a broader political coalition.

He dismissed rumors of internal discord within the coalition and affirmed its intention to complete its full term.

PM Dahal also highlighted upcoming events, including the historic visit of the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, scheduled for April 23.

He noted the near-completion of preparations for the third Nepal Investment Summit on April 28-29, expressing optimism about the positive response it has received.

Additionally, he mentioned plans to introduce ordinances aimed at creating a conducive environment for investment.

Furthermore, the PM disclosed Nepal’s upcoming role in hosting an international conference on climate change for mountainous countries.
