PM Cup: Gandaki Province sets 168-run target for Koshi Province

KATHMANDU: In a gripping encounter of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024, Gandaki Province has established a target of 168 runs for Koshi Province to clinch victory.

Opting to bowl after winning the toss, Koshi Province effectively contained Gandaki Province, restricting them to a total of 167 runs, all out, in 48.2 overs at the Mulpani cricket ground.

Muskan T Magar emerged as the top scorer for Gandaki Province, contributing a noteworthy 67 runs, featuring seven boundaries.

Alongside Magar, team captain Bipin Khatri added 42 runs, while Kamal Pariyar contributed 13 runs.

Avyash Timalsina led the bowling attack for Koshi Province, claiming six wickets, with support from Firdosh Ansari, Kamal Khatri, and Sonu Mandal, each securing a wicket.

As the match unfolds, the chase for 168 runs by Koshi Province promises an exciting second innings.
