KATHMANDU: Victims of cooperative fraud staged a protest in Kathmandu on Wednesday, raising grievances about embezzled savings.

The victims demonstrated at Maitighar along with rallies from various places in the valley (Sorhakhutte, Chabahil, Gatthaghar, Pulchowk).

Victims lamented losing their life savings—often acquired through selling homes and land—due to mismanagement by cooperative institutions.

They expressed outrage, accusing the government of shielding those responsible for the fraud.
