KATHMANDU: The police have transferred former DIG Chhabilal Banjade Joshi from Pokhara to Kathmandu for an investigation into the Swarnalaxmi Cooperative fraud case.

SP Navaraj Adhikari, spokesperson for the District Police Range in Kathmandu, confirmed that Joshi arrived in the capital last evening.

“We will begin taking his statement today,” SP Adhikari said.

Once his statement is completed, the police are preparing to bring Rabi Lamichhane, the Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Home Minister, to Kathmandu.
