UML’s NGCRC meeting to kick off today



KATHMANDU: The National General Convention Representatives Council (NGCRC) meeting of the CPN-UML is set to commence today.

The meeting, which will begin at Sunrise Hall in Lalitpur’s Godawari on Saturday afternoon, will see the participation of around 2500 leaders and cadres from across the country.

Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, along with various top leaders of political parties, have been invited as special guests to address the gathering.

PM Dahal and Deuba will deliver speeches as special guests during the event.

During the UML’s mega event, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel will present the review of the Jhulaghat-Chiwabhanjyang journey undertaken as part of the Mission Grassroots Campaign.

Furthermore, discussions will also be held on how to organize annual work plans in the coming days.

According to sources from the UML, Party Chair KP Oli will present the political report, while General Secretary Pokharel will present the organizational report.

Additionally, reports will also be presented by representatives of the Central Discipline Commission, Central Audit Commission, Central Election Commission, and the Central Advisory Council.

The UML aims to make the Representative Council meeting more techno- friendly.

Participants have access to documents presented by leaders through a mobile app.

Suggestions from participants will also be collected through the app.

The meeting will continue until April 22.
