NC witnesses growing support for establishment of ‘Vedic Sanatan Hindu State’

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Mahasamiti meeting representatives have started showing keen interest in the campaign for Vedic Sanatan State launched by 22 central members including Shankar Upreti.

According to sources, a significant 900 representatives have signed in favor of the establishment of a Hindu state in Nepal under the ‘Campaign for the Vedic Sanatan Hindu state.’

The signature campaign, organized in the premises of the Godawari-based Mahasamiti meeting venue, has garnered support from prominent figures like former General Secretary and Central Committee Member Dr. Shashank Koirala, and former Speaker Taranath Ranabhat.

Nearly 900 Mahasamiti members, including central committee members and representatives from various regions, have actively participated in this initiative.

This development follows the official announcement of the Campaign for the Vedic Sanatan Hindu state in Nepal under the leadership of Member of Parliament and Central Committee Member Shankar Bhandari on Saturday.

The campaign leaders have urged party leaders, members of the Mahasamiti, representatives for General Convention, and well-wishers to join hands for the success of this initiative.

This move by the Nepali Congress comes at a time when there is growing pressure within the party to prioritize the Hindu state agenda.
