KATHMANDU: In a thrilling match of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024, Aashutosh Ghiraiya showcased outstanding performance by scoring a century for Bagmati Province in the encounter against Koshi Province on Friday.

The match, currently underway at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground, saw Koshi Province winning the toss and opting to bowl first.

Ghiraiya’s remarkable century came in just 99 balls, featuring an impressive display of 13 boundaries (fours) and two towering sixes.

This achievement marks the fifth century in the ongoing tournament, with Rashi Khan of Nepal Police Club, Sandeep Jhora of APF, Binod Bhandari of Nepal Army Club, and Sujan Thapaliya of Koshi Province also achieving the milestone earlier.

Aashutosh Ghiraiya’s stellar innings contributes significantly to Bagmati Province’s strong position in the match, emphasizing the high level of competition and talent on display in the Prime Minister Cup.
