KATHMANDU: Nepal A has established a target of 217 runs for Canada XI to secure victory in the inaugural match of the three-day ODI series.

In the match held at Mulpani International Cricket Ground, Canada XI won the toss and elected to bowl first.

This decision proved effective as they managed to limit Nepal A to 216 runs while conceding eight wickets in the allocated 50 overs.

Leading the charge for Nepal A, Bashir Ahmed showcased a commendable performance, securing a half-century, while Rashid Khan contributed with 40 runs.

Additionally, Mayan Yadav added 35 runs to the team’s total.

Contributions from Kiran Thagunna and Bibek Yadav further bolstered Nepal A’s score, with 25 and 21 runs respectively.
