Nepal A to face Canada XI in opening match of ODI series today

KATHMANDU: Nepal A is gearing up to take on Canada XI in the inaugural match of the three-day ODI series today.

The match is slated to commence at 9:30 am at the Mulpani Cricket Stadium.

Canada XI is currently in Nepal for a practice match ahead of their ICC CWC League 2 fixtures in the United Arab Emirates.

In previous bilateral encounters between the two nations, Nepal emerged victorious with a clean sweep.

Binod Bhandari has been entrusted with the captaincy for Nepal A.

Notably, players who were initially excluded from the PM Cup, U-19 World Cup, and the Nepali Senior Team have been given opportunities to represent Nepal A.

Exceptional performances in this series could potentially earn them spots in the National Team.

The series will feature matches on Tuesday and Thursday, concluding with the final fixture.
