PM Cup Update: APF sets a target of 247 runs for Madhesh Province



KATHMANDU: In a gripping match at the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024, the Armed Police Force Club (APF) has set a challenging target of 247 runs for Madhesh Province to secure victory.

The match, held at the Tribhuvan University (TU) cricket ground in Kathmandu, saw Madhesh Province winning the toss and opting to bowl first.

Aasif Sheikh and Rohit Poudel showcased stellar performances for the APF Club, scoring half-centuries with 59 and 58 runs, respectively.

Following their impressive innings, Amar S Routela contributed significantly with 49 runs, guiding the club towards the 250-run mark.

In response to APF’s batting display, Madhesh Province’s bowlers Rupesh Singh and Pradip Paswan each took three wickets, while Ranjit Kumar and Araniko Yadav secured two and one wickets, respectively.

The stage is set for an exciting chase as Madesh Province aims to reach the target and secure a victory in this fiercely contested match.
