Netherlands sets 138-run target for Nepal in ICC CWC League 2 match

KATHMANDU: In the ongoing second match of the ICC CWC League 2 tri-nation ODI Series, the Netherlands has set a target of 138 runs for Nepal to achieve victory.

Nepal won the toss at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground and chose to bowl first, successfully restricting the Netherlands to a total of 137 runs, losing all wickets in 39 overs.

Kushal Bhurtel was the standout performer for Nepal, claiming four wickets, while Lalit Rajbanshi and Sompal Kami took two wickets each, and Rohit Poudel contributed with one wicket.

Among the Dutch batsmen, Scott Edwards, the team’s captain, scored 33 runs, supported by Bas De Leede with 27 runs, and Sybrand Abraham Engelbrecht with 23 runs, contributing to the team’s total.

Nepal had previously suffered a four-wicket defeat against Namibia in the first match of the series.
