KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ emphasized the significance of tunnel passages in improving road connectivity during a ceremony marking the breakthrough of the Nagdhunga Tunnel Road.

The Prime Minister underscored that this achievement is crucial for infrastructure development and will play a vital role in achieving national goals by facilitating convenient and affordable travel, promoting geographical and democratic proximity, and maintaining balanced development across provinces.

He outlined the government’s commitment to prioritize the construction of tunnel passages, flyovers, and underpasses along national highways to establish advanced road connectivity.

Additionally, PM Dahal highlighted positive economic indicators, including improving revenue collection, reduced fuel imports due to the promotion of electric vehicles, increased cement and corrugated zinc sheet exports, rising tourist arrivals, and expansion in housing and apartment businesses outside Kathmandu Valley.

He called for fostering optimism and advancing towards good governance, social justice, and prosperity while expressing hope that the Third Investment Summit, scheduled for April 28-29, would attract investment opportunities for Nepal’s development on the global stage.
