KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led UML has established an 11-member coordination committee to organize an Awareness Rally in Kathmandu on November 22.

This event, set to take place as a joint initiative of the party’s Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur chapters, aims to rally public support around UML’s key principles and policy goals.

The coordination committee, formed during a meeting at the party’s central office on Wednesday, is headed by Rajan Bhattarai, with Kailash Dhungel, chair of the UML’s Bagmati Province Committee, serving as co-coordinator.

The committee’s members include Tuka Hamal, Prem Kumar Parajuli, Shyam Kumar Basnet, Deepak Niraula, Bachan Deuja, Purushottam Acharya, Kshitij Thebe, Shamik Badal, and Janak Chaudhary. The preparatory meeting was hosted under the chief hospitality of UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel and included valley sub-committee representatives, mass organizations, and department heads.

Bhattarai outlined the Awareness Rally’s goal as fostering public dialogue in favor of democracy, rule of law, national unity, and development, amidst growing social and political challenges in Nepal.

The event will address themes of peace, good governance, social harmony, and economic prosperity, aiming to convey the UML’s vision to the public.

The Awareness Rally is expected to draw a large audience, as the UML seeks to solidify its message and build momentum for future initiatives promoting stability and progress across Nepal.
