NRB fixes foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today, with one US dollar fixed at Rs 152.80 for buying and Rs 153.40 for selling.

The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one euro at Rs 176.93 and the selling rate at Rs 177.62. Similarly, the British pound sterling has been set at Rs 206.75 for buying and Rs 207.56 for selling, while the Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 188.26 and Rs 189, respectively.

The buying and selling rates for one Australian dollar are Rs 108.63 and Rs 109.06, respectively. Likewise, one Canadian dollar is fixed at Rs 110.17 for buying and Rs 110.61 for selling, while one Singapore dollar is set at Rs 119.59 and Rs 120.06, respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.57 and the selling rate is Rs 9.61. One Chinese yuan has been fixed at Rs 22.66 for buying and Rs 22.75 for selling. Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 40.70 and Rs 40.86, while one Qatari riyal is fixed at Rs 41.92 and Rs 42.08, respectively.

The buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.62 and the selling rate is Rs 4.63. One UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.61 for buying and Rs 41.77 for selling, while one Malaysian ringgit is set at Rs 37.64 and Rs 37.79, respectively.

The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.84 and the selling rate is Rs 10.88. Similarly, one Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 16.05 for buying and Rs 16.11 for selling, while one Danish krone is set at Rs 23.67 and Rs 23.76, respectively.

The central bank has fixed the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.48 for buying and Rs 19.56 for selling. One Kuwaiti dinar is set at Rs 497.48 and Rs 499.43, while one Bahraini dinar is fixed at Rs 405.31 and Rs 406.90, respectively.

Similarly, one Omani rial has been fixed at Rs 396.88 for buying and Rs 398.44 for selling. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It added that rates quoted by commercial banks may differ and that updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
