KATHMANDU: The price of gold, which dropped by Rs 2,400 per tola yesterday (Tuesday), has continued to decline today. Gold prices have been falling for the past four consecutive days.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders, the price of gold decreased by Rs 400 per tola today, reaching Rs 162,200.
Yesterday, the price of gold was Rs 162,600 per tola. A week ago, on Monday, gold was trading at Rs 165,000 per tola, and on Sunday, the price was Rs 166,000.
On October 31, gold prices hit a record high, reaching Rs 171,000 per tola. Since then, however, the price of gold has been on a steady decline, falling by nearly Rs 9,000 per tola over the past 13 days.
Meanwhile, the price of silver has increased by Rs 15 per tola. Silver, which was trading at Rs 1,925 per tola yesterday, has risen to Rs 1,940 today.
